Palmer, Nathan Reed

March 1, 1976 – October 17, 2024

It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Nathan Reed Palmer, a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, on October 17, 2024, at the age of 48.

Nathan was born March 1, 1976, and graduated from Brandywine High School where he enjoyed soccer and wrestling. He built a career in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC), working throughout the Tri-State Area. Well-respected by his colleagues and clients alike, he was known for his expertise, reliability, and affability. Nathan loved the outdoors and found peace in nature. Whether hiking, camping, or backpacking, he felt most at home in the wilderness. His bond with animals, especially dogs, was extraordinary—the animals had an intuitive way of connecting with him.

Nathan will be forever remembered for his infectious laughter and sense of humor. He brightened every room he entered. He lived with kindness and simplicity, focusing on meaningful experiences rather than material things. An adventurous spirit, Nathan was always eager to try new and unusual food combinations, delighting those around him with his surprising and creative palate.

Nathan was preceded in death by his father, Reverend Mark Palmer. He is survived by his loving mother, Jane (William Moore); his brother, Justin (Kristen) Palmer; and his cherished niece and nephews, Lizzie, Matt, and James, as well as former wife, Dianna Palimere. Nathan leaves behind countless lifelong friends who will forever remember his humor, warmth, and generous spirit.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 10 am at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1502 W. 13th Street, Wilmington, DE 19806 where friends are invited to pay their respects beginning at 9:15 am.
