At age 95, Martina Rebert of Newark, DE, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 24, 2024.
Martina was born in Toliver, N.C. to Stewart and Nina Phillips, reared in Harford County Maryland, where she met the love of her life, Earl L. Rebert, Jr. His work brought them to Newark, DE in 1970.
She was a member of Ogletown Baptist Church, active in Women’s Missionary Union, worked in the kitchen 4.5 years and served in the food pantry for the needy several years.
An enthusiast of varied hobbies, she enjoyed music, painting, quilting, gardening and cruises.
Survivors include her children Tamara M. McDonough of Newark, DE. and Stacey Rene Rebert of Newark, DE. Also a granddaughter, Christina McDonough-Chrusniak of Green Bay, WI. She was proceeded in death by her dear husband, Earl L. Rebert of 44 years, her parents, and four sisters; Betty June Kraeer of Stubenville, OH., Fay Irene Howell of Ladysmith, VA., Deborah L. Hess of Churchville, MD., and Frances M. Grenzebach of St. Petersburg, FL.
A viewing will be held on Friday, November 1 from 10-11 am at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Hwy, Wilmington where a funeral service will follow at 11 am. Burial will be at Gracelawn Memorial Park.
