It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Zeneida Toro, aged 67, who left us surrounded by love and gratitude.
Zeneida’s life was a testament to resilience, kindness, and the unyielding desire to help others. She dedicated countless hours volunteering at Riverside and Christiana Care, selflessly serving her community even as she managed her own health struggles with congestive heart and lung issues. Known for her passion for crochet, Zeneida lovingly crafted blankets that brought comfort to newborns and elderly individuals alike, spreading warmth in every stitch. Her joy for life was infectious; her laugh was a gentle reminder to never let life’s hurdles weigh her down. She approached each day with calm, always ready with a giggle and an open heart, making her beloved by all who had the honor of knowing her.
Zeneida is survived by her mother, Gabriela Toro, and her sisters, Luciella Toro and Duber Mary Toro. Her family, friends, and community will forever cherish the memories of her kindness, resilience, and boundless love. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion that will continue to inspire. Service and burial will be private.
