Alexis Suzanne Dunlap, age 42, of Wilmington, DE, passed away suddenly on November 19, 2024. She had a heart of gold, and always wanted to help people. She loved caring for all animals, especially her cats and wildlife.
She attended Corpus Christi grade School, was a cheerleader, played the flute, was a ballet and tap dancer, and served as a cross bearer and liturgical dancer at Masses for several years. She graduated from John Dickinson High School. She was formerly employed by McDonalds, MBNA, and other local businesses.
Alexis is survived by her daughters, Valerie Deel and Isabella Parkstone; son, Aryan Parkstone; mother, Susan M. Dunlap; sisters, Vanessa and Angela; brother, Gregory; Grammy Frances Malinowski, Aunt Kathleen Dunlap, Uncle Mark (Cheryl); cousin, Ashley; nieces, Mikayla Spahn and Adelyn Hendrickson; and nephew, Brandon Murphy. She was preceded in death by her soulmate, Dennis (Stick) Parkstone IV and his son, Dennis V (Twig); her father, J. Michael Dunlap; niece, Rylee J. Spahn.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30AM on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Corpus Christi Church, 905 New Road, Wilmington, DE 19805. Visitation will be held at the church prior to Mass from 9:30-10:30AM. Burial at All Saints Cemetery will follow. In lieu of flowers, please buy a meal for the homeless.
