Kowalczuk, Ekaterina

Ekaterina Kowalczuk’s remarkable life concluded on Monday, November 18, 2024 at 95 years old in Wilmington, Delaware. Ekaterina was born on March 15, 1929, in a village near Kiev, Ukraine. She lived a life full of love, resilience, and dedication to her family.

Ekaterina was the eldest of four children and faced numerous challenges during her childhood, including the hardships brought on by wars and hunger strikes. Despite these difficulties, she grew into a strong and loving woman who cherished her family above all else.

She was a devoted mother to her two children, Anatoly and Olga, and a doting Babushka to her three grandchildren, Irina (Aleksey), Ruslana (Jon), and Dimitry (Taylor). Her love extended even further to her six great-grandchildren: Nikita, Margarita, Benjamin, William, Dominik, and Ava.

Ekaterina found immense joy in spending time with her family, cooking delicious Ukrainian dishes that brought everyone together, and taking cherished trips to the beach. Her warmth, culinary skills, and the simple yet profound pleasures she shared with her loved ones will be deeply missed.

Ekaterina’s legacy of love, strength, and family values will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her. We remember her not only for the challenges she overcame but for the light and love she brought into our lives. Her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us every day, and she will be forever cherished in our hearts.
