Ruth A. Jackson (Palmatary), 77, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on November 25, 2024.
After graduating from A.I. DuPont High school in 1965, Ruth worked at Wilmington Trust. In 1968, she married the love of her life, Rick Jackson. Soon after she left her career to raise a family. She was a devoted wife, mother, Grammy, and dog mom.
She loved craft shows, birdwatching, lighthouses, flowers and most of all being a Brittany mom.
Ruth is survived by her sons Jack and Wade (Jaime) Jackson, granddaughters Brooke and Sarah Jackson, and brother Phillip Palmatary (Marcia).
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Rick Jackson and her parents Ira and Edna Palmatary.
Visitation and funeral will be held on Saturday, November 30th at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home , 3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, from visitation from 9-10 am and service at 10 am. Interment in Silverbrook Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be made to the American Brittany Rescue in honor of her love for the Brittany dog breed.
