Lida Morris, age 85, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 23, 2024. She was with her children at home.
Mrs. Morris was a retired elementary school teacher. She taught and substituted for over 50 years. She worked in the Wilmington public schools, New Castle Baptist Acd., New Castle Christian Acd., and the Appoquinimink school district. Her hobbies included traveling through Europe, country line Dancing, and playing the piano, the organ, and her violin.
She is survived by her children, Kenneth Morris (Kelly) of Smyrna, Karyn Price (James) Newark, Daniel Morris (Michelle) of Lancaster, PA; her grandchildren, Dustin Morris, Brett Morris (Stephanie), Merissa Price, Lauren Price, Collin Morris, and Shelby Morris; her great-grandchildren, Aiden Morris, Calum Morris, Leo Morris and Alaina Price; her brothers, Ronald Green (Cheryl), and Richard Green (Peggy); and her best Friend of over 60 years, Fay Morris.
A service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home (3710 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilmington, DE 19808). Friends may call beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Gracelawn Memorial Park will follow.
