Judith A. Kresge, age 81, of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully on December 2, 2024.
She was born in Darby and lived in Collingdale, PA until 1986 and is the daughter of the late Doris and Raymond Ammlung. Judith graduated from Collingdale High School in 1961. She was a member of the Collingdale HS Marching Band where she played tenor saxophone.
Judith was involved with her local community including Collingdale AA Football League. One would find her often working in the concessions stand. She was also a Brownie and Girl Scout leader. Judith enjoyed crocheting. During the pandemic, she crocheted 19 baby blankets for her fellow member at Concord Baptist Church.
Judith worked for many years at the Bazzar of All Nations, Clifton Height, PA in the gift shop. She then worked as a dental assistant for 25 years for Dr. Kempton, then. Dr. Horn. Judith also at the same time worked at Sears, Concord Mall in the men’s department.
She is preceded in death by her former husband, of 20 years Robert Grafton, who died in 2003 and then widowed by John ”Jack” H. Kresge in 2012 after 10 years of marriage. Judith is survived by her 2 children, Karen Grafton and Robert Grafton; 3 grandchildren, Jason Cola, Kylee Walls (Jesse James Czarnota) and Jesse Cola, Sr.; 3 great grandchildren, Layla Walls, Jesse Cola, Jr. and Cooper Czarnota and 2 sisters, Barbara Sciulli (Frank) and Diane Mikolasy. Judith is also preceded in death by her grandson-in-law, Dustin Walls and brother-in-law Clay Mikolasy.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 10, from 10-11 am at the McCrery and Harra Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pk, Wilmington, DE where a funeral service will follow at 11am. Burial will be in Gracelawn Memorial Park.
