Barry Hoffman Price, 83, of Lewes DE, passed away on December 12, 2024. Barry was born July 3, 1941 in Philadelphia, PA to Lilian Dorothy and John James Price.
As an only child he grew up in Media, PA.
Barry graduated from Media High School in 1959. Thereafter joining PECO, where he worked as a linesman and eventually became a crew foreman. Barry received many awards for integrity and passion as a PECO employee and proudly worked there for over 30 years until his retirement.
Barry determined the Rehoboth/Lewes area was where he would retire. He spent many summers vacationing in Rehoboth Beach, DE where he fished and camped. His love of the area is where he honed his passion for the outdoors.
Barry was an avid hunter and fisherman and was awarded a number of state awards for his catches which he displayed around his home. He was also a member of the Sons of the American Revolution and enjoyed spending time with friends at the American Legion Post 17 in Lewes, DE.
Barry is survived by daughter Sharon Price (Colin); grandchildren Tyler Patton, Shane Gibson and Pierce Gibson as well as great-granddaughter June Patton,
A private service will be held to celebrate Barry’s life.
