Z. C. “Sherry” Dobson Finley passed away on December 21, 2024.
Sherry was born in 1943 in Cartersville, OK, to L. C. Dobson and Mary R. Medlock Dobson.
She is survived by her husband, John; son, Matthew P. Dodson of Tulsa, OK; stepdaughters, Laura Finley-Pyeat of Tulsa, OK, and Sarah G. Finley of Magnolia; four grandchildren; sister, Gail Daulton of Wagner, OK; and several nieces and nephews.
Sherry’s special cousin, Betty Parker of Sand Springs, OK, predeceased her on December 5, 2024. Sherry was a registered nurse with two master’s degrees in nursing education. She taught nursing at Delaware Technical & Community College for 25 years, retiring in 2005. Sherry’s career in nursing and education spanned 40 years.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
