Janice Williams Lucas, age 75, of Kennett Square, PA passed away, with her husband Gerry at her side, on Thursday, December 26, 2024 after a short battle with cancer.
She was born and raised in Wilmington, DE and is the daughter of the late Elizabeth F. (Moore) and James John Williams. Janice graduated from P.S. DuPont High School in 1967. She then attended the University of Delaware for two years.
She worked for the DuPont Company from 1973 to 2003 in various managerial positions at the Hotel DuPont and the DuPont Country Club.
Janice was a member of the DuPont Country Club. She enjoyed the pool with her niece, Great nephew and friends, bowling with family and Stampin’ up with friends (this is creating greeting cards with ink and stamps.)
Along with her husband of 49 years, Gerald S. Lucas, Janice is survived by her sister, Julia Kirkpatrick of Wilmington; a niece Sarah Cipolla and her husband Andrew and great nephew, James Cipolla of Claymont. Janice was also preceded in death by her sister, Judith A Hedrick.
Services and burial will be held privately.
