Cheryl L. Yeoman passed away on January 3, 2025 at Paoli Hospital.
She was born in Wilmington, DE to the late Stewart and Jane Grissom.
Cheryl will be missed by her loving family and friends. Her orneriness was legendary and her laughter contagious. She had an avid love for horses, all animals and nature. Cheryl loved feeding the birds and wildlife in her yard. She was especially partial to her beloved Rottweilers. Her most favorite thing was riding her bike and riding for the Pedal For Pets fundraiser with her grandson. She held many different jobs in her life with her favorite being a horse groom with Ashwell Stables. She also enjoyed volunteering and working at nursing homes.
Cheryl loved spending time with her family and especially loved vacations at Wildwood Crest, NJ. Well into her 70’s, she was always up for a good time. The road trips to concerts with her daughters were her favorite.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her husband Benjamin F. Yeoman, IV, her brother, Ronald Grissom and her grandson, Jeffrey W. Odum, II. She is survived by her daughters, Tracy Yeoman (Donald “Butch” Tuggle) and Kelly Odum (Donny Speakman), her grandchildren, Kyle Richardson (Rachael Brown), Samantha Doss (Ron Price) and her 2 great-grandchildren, Zach Laloup and Gunner Price.
A viewing will be held from 12:30-1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808 where a service will follow at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be held in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
