Stephan L. Binder passed away peacefully at home on January 10, 2025 at the age of 74
He was born in Wilmington, DE to the late G.Edgar Jr and Jean Binder. Steve retired from Teamsters Local #326 where he spent over 30 years. He also ran the family landscaping business (Lawn Wizards). Steve graduated from Brandywine High School, he also attended Wilmington College where he majored in Electronics.
Steve was an avid car enthusiast and enjoyed attending many Rod Runs, antiquing, bowling and shuffleboard. He was a longtime member of the Elks Lodge, American Legion Stahl Post #30 and Diamond State Street Rods.
Steve is predeceased by his wife, Roxanne M. Binder. He is survived by his son, Sham Binder (Kimberly), his grandchildren, Stephanie, Savannah, Jakob, Bailey, Rory and Brody, great granddaughter Jameson; siblings Richard Binder (Judy) and Nancy Binder-Zickgraf; as well as many extended family members, friends he considered family, and his many English bulldogs and his favorite Frenchie Ney.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday January 22, 2025 from 11:00am-12:00pm followed by a memorial service at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pike (Rt. 202 South of Silverside Road) Wilmington, DE 19803.
