Jerry M. Besbris, age 91 of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 3.
Born in Hazleton, PA, the son of the late Simon and Freda Besbris. He was raised in Landsford, PA and shared many wonderful memories of his time living there.
After graduating high school, Jerry proudly served his country in the U. S. Air Force. He worked many years as a draftsman at Atlantic Aviation and later as a salesman at auto dealerships in New Castle County. Both careers giving him joy in different ways.
Jerry enjoyed woodworking and gifting his crafts to friends and family. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagle’s fan and a member of the American Legion Joseph B Stahl Memorial Post 30 where he bartended some time ago.
Jerry’s wife of 56 years, Camille (Lewandowski) died in 2012. He is survived by his 3 children, Michele Messick, Ronald Besbris and Diane Krammes; 4 grandchildren Bryan Messick (Chrissy) & Crystal Winnington (Donny) & Ryan Krammes & Justin Krammes; 4 great grandchildren and his companion June Pfusch. He is also proceeded in death by his son-in law, William Messick and Jeffrey Krammes.
Services and military honors will be held privately.
