November 28, 1939 – February 20, 2025
Robert Moresi, 85, of Wilmington, DE, died on Thursday, February 20, 2025, after a short stay at Riddle Village, Media, PA. Bob (Mo) as he was known to family and friends was born on November 28, 1939, in Arnold, PA to Joseph and Aurelia Moresi.
Bob graduated from Arnold High School and earned a business degree from Point Park University. He began his accounting career at Pennsylvania Railroad, which later merged with Conrail. After 36 years of service, Bob retired from Conrail as Director of Disbursement Accounting in May of 1996.
Once retired, he and Carol began their travels. Their most cherished adventures include a cross-country trip with stops to visit family and friends, and most recently a trip to Italy for their granddaughter’s wedding. Spending time at the beach with his children and grandchildren was also a favorite pastime. When at home, you could either find Bob in the kitchen, as he loved to cook, or in his garage working on his latest project.
Bob also enjoyed golfing and coaching, for both the Talleyville Girls Softball League and Mount Pleasant High School. You would always find Grandpa in the stands, on the sidelines or in the audience at all his grandchildren’s events. Bob bled black and gold, loving his Steelers and Penguins.
He was quiet, but quick witted with a great sense of humor. Most importantly, he will be remembered for his kindness and his dedication to others.
Bob’s true love and passion was his family. Bob is survived by his wife Carol (nee Preisser). They shared a special bond for 62 years. Bob is also survived by his children, Tracy (Todd) Tebay, Vicki (Howard) Zebley, Robin (Brian) Moresi-McGovern, Nicole (John) Silverwood. His pride and joy are his grandchildren, Alexandra (Edward), Morgan, Mia, Brooke, and Joseph. He is also survived by many loving extended family members. He was predeceased by his infant daughter Sharon, and sisters, Joyce Gaito and Roberta Moresi.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on March 3, 2025 at the Church of the Holy Child, 2500 Naamans Road, Wilmington, DE. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Interment will be private.
