Frances Felicia (Paruszewski) Malinowski, age 94, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2025.
She grew up on Bird Street in Browntown, moved to Broom Street, attended Saint Hedwig Elementary School and Wilmington High School. She was formerly employed by the Ace Theater, Woolworths, and an insurance company as a typist in Wilmington, before her favorite job babysitting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Frances was a devout Catholic, and a longtime member of Corpus Christi Church. Like Saint Francis of Assisi, she loved animals. She enjoyed daily walks around Elsmere where she lived when she got married. She enjoyed talking with everyone she met, and so many strangers were her friends. For several years she volunteered at the Veterans Hospital in Elsmere.
Frances loved spending time and going on trips with her family. She enjoyed fishing and crabbing, camper travels, and staying at her beach place in Lewes in earlier years until her husband died. She had fun taking bus trips to the casinos in Atlantic City, feeding quarters to the slot machines at Delaware Park, and winning.
She is survived by her daughter Susan M. Dunlap, and son Mark S. Malinowski (Cheryl), grandchildren Vanessa J. Dunlap, Gregory M. Dunlap, Angela M. Dunlap, and Ashley L. Malinowski, great-grandchildren Valerie A. Deel, Aryan X. Parkstone, Isabella P. Parkstone, Mikayla M. Spahn, Adelyn M. Hendrickson, and Brandon M. Murphy. She was preceded in death by her parents Stanley J. (Parker) Paruszewski and Frances (Sobiech) Paruszewski, brothers Stanley J. Paruszewski, Jr. and Ronald J. Paruszewski, husband Stanley J. Malinowski (Skip), son-in-law J. Michael Dunlap, granddaughter Alexis S. Dunlap, and great-granddaughter Rylee J. Spahn.
