Beryl Whiteside (née Tyndall), age 83, of Ocean Pines, Maryland, formerly of Wilmington, Delaware, went home to be with the Lord on April 2, 2025
Beryl was a 1959 Graduate of Mount Pleasant High School, Wilmington, Delaware. She held executive secretary positions in pharmaceutical and banking industries throughout her career.
Beryl was very artistic and loved interior design. Anyone who stepped into her home saw the wall murals she painted and the many decorations she made that reflected her love of natural beauty. She was an avid shopper. Even after two knee surgeries, she could still rival the fastest land mammal when she walked through the doors of Marshalls or Home Goods. In her younger years, she enjoyed fishing, boating and many trips to the Carolinas and Florida on the Intracoastal Waterway with her husband and their friends. She was a devoted wife and mother and loved her family. Above all, she loved the Lord. His promise that we will see her again someday is the reason that we have peace at this difficult time.
Beryl was predeceased by parents Burleigh Tyndall and Linda Tyndall (née Ward). She is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Lawrence Whiteside of Ocean Pines, MD; children Tammy Whiteside (Birdie) of New London, PA and Ward Whiteside (Valerie) of Wilmington, DE, as well as many cherished cousins and friends.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025 beginning at 10 am at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE 19803 with a memorial service at 11 am.
